 Pilot Test and Effect Evaluation of Replacement of Ceramic by Quartz Sand in Changning Area

长宁地区石英砂替代陶粒先导性试验及效果评价

Abstract:   In order to cope with the impact of low international oil price, the shale gas development play in North America has significantly increased in proportion of quartz sand use, while the domestic shale gas well fracturing adopts the combination of quartz sand with 70 /140 mesh and 40 /70 ceramic proppant, and ceramic accounts for about 70% . The indoor measurement of the flow conductivity of quartz sand was measured and the feasibility of replacing ceramic with quartz sand in Changning area was demonstrated by numerical simulation.Based on the objective function of maximizing the cumulative production of a single well, such fracturing parameters are optimized as 1800m3 fracturing fluid, 160 tons of proppant agent and the continuous sanding operation with the combination of 70% 70 /140 mesh and 30% 40 /70 mesh quartz sand. The program was successfully implemented in Changning area, and achieved significant cost-reducing and synergistic effects. Compared with adjacent wells with similar geological parameters, the tested output increased by 31 % , and the proppant cost of a single well could be saved by 1 . 45million yuan by preliminary calculation,which further supported the feasibility of the test scheme and accumulated valuable field experience for the later application and popularization of quartz sand to replace ceramic.

摘要:  为应对国际低油价冲击,北美页岩气开发区块大幅提高了石英砂使用比例,而国内页岩气井压裂主体采用70/140目石英砂+40/70陶粒组合支撑剂,陶粒约占70%。开展了石英砂室内导流能力测定,结合长宁地区页岩储层渗透率参数,采用数值模拟论证了石英砂替代陶粒在长宁地区可行。基于单井累计产量最大化的目标函数,明确了压裂试验参数:单段1800m3压裂液,160t支撑剂,70/140目石英砂:40/70目石英砂=3∶7。先导性试验方案顺利实施后,降本增效显著,与地质参数相当的邻井相比,试验井折算1500m改造段长测试产量提高67%,单井折算1500m改造段长支撑剂成本降低145万元。进一步论证了试验方案的可行性,为后期石英砂替代陶粒推广应用积累了宝贵的现场经验。
